The Reserve is located in the East River Valley west of Highway 135, approximately eight miles south of Crested Butte, Colorado. The property is positioned on the eastern flanks of Red Mountain, above and to the west of the East River. The Reserve is located 20 minutes from Gunnison-Crested Butte Airport, two hours from Montrose Regional Airport and five hours from Denver International Airport.

The Reserve is located 8,200 feet above sea level at its base and reaches 10,400 feet above sea level at its highest point.
